Joan's Memorial Empty Joan's Memorial

Post by Jim Sun Sep 25, 2016 7:31 am

She insisted on perfection, right down to the last detail. The tables were set with different sized vases holding flowers of every variety, every color. One vase had the most unusual greenery supporting a single stem, looking like it belonged on a hat.

She insisted on wine being served - your choice, red or white - with a champagne flute among the glasses for a toast later. She even considered the vegetarian, so pasta was offered along with the Chilean sea bass.

A chilled gazpacho was served first with small red and orange tomatoes floating on a sprig of watercress. After the entree came a trio of multi-colored sorbets, sprinkled with berries.

In the background you could hear the heavenly sounds of a harp.

The setting was in the library of the Inn... More flowers in vases placed among the books, photos scattered everywhere.

Serenity. Class. Beauty. Feasts. Tears.

That's how you plan your memorial.
Good bye, sweet, loved Joan.
